Slađana Karavdić Kočević, OPTIMUS director, stressed in her exposition above all the general objective of the project - better business environment on the local level and increasing the competitiveness of Sombor in the region. Savings for the businesses, work transparency and higher efficiency of local self-government represent quick and immediately transparent results that are consequence of implementation of reformed administrative procedures in Sombor.

New management of Sombor was introduced with the course of the Project so far and the achieved results, which are almost all reformed procedures, including reduction of required documents for 63% of procedures and ex officio obtaining of documentation that will significantly diminish time and expenses required to obtain permits and resolutions. The implementation of such reformed procedures will annually save 3,48 million EUR to Sombor businesses under the condition that the adopted recommendations are implemented.

Deputy Mayor, Vladislav Živanović, stated that activities implemented within the Project are of great value for the improvement of the business environment in the City of Sombor, and in line with other measures taken by the City authorities to attract new investments and increase employment in the city and the surroundings.
