Solving a great number of administrative procedures in jurisdiction of the City Administration, requires documentation issued by public companies, organizations and institutions. Obtaining the necessary documents is often a complicated procedure that includes great number of steps and redirecting to different addresses.

The City of Loznica therefore initiated the establishment of ex officio obtaining of documentation from republic and local public utilities, organizations and institutions. Such way of obtaining documentation will lead to the one-stop-shop system that will limit the required number of steps for businesses and citizens to the minimum. Thereby the costs and waiting time in the process of obtaining permits, approvals, resolutions, consents and other documents will also be reduced.

Consequently the presentation for twenty five representatives of public utilities, organizations and institutions, the members of the City Council and media was held in Loznica on 09th May 2014. The aim was to present the results of the regulatory reform in Loznica and the draft of the Protocol on Cooperation between the City of Loznica and other authorities mentioned above, which will improve the internal communication, and establish the exchange of information and documentation.

Pointing out the significance of the Project, ex officio obtaining of documentation, and good cooperation with OPTIMUS, the Mayor of Loznica Vidoje Petrović declared: “The objective is important, clearly established and defined - to simplify the implementation of administrative procedures for the clients. We must all together do everything within our power to succeed. It is important that all of us have the right attitude and to strive for a real, sustainable solution through this Protocol.”

In the open discussion the participants supported the Project and the proposed goals and were especially interested in how the ex officio obtaining will function in practice, the way in which the documents are going to be delivered, and other similar matters.

In the end it was agreed that public utilities, organizations and institutions will send their comments and suggestions with regard to draft Protocol and that official signing of the Protocol is to be held in June 2014.
