The promotion of the e-Registry held on 10 February in Novi Pazar was aimed at presenting the results of the project and the new online service that provides a transparent insight into the information about procedures for obtaining licenses, permits, approvals or decisions.

While describing the main results of the project Almir Leković, the Secretary of the City Assembly, stated that the reform, among other things, reduced the volume of the documentation required and introduced the ex-officio document gathering in 73% of the procedures, shorter deadlines in 92% of administrative procedures, and standard form in over 50 % of procedures. Leković recognized e-Registry as the other milestone that helped the City of Novi Pazar to become an effective governing administration.

“OPTIMUS has been working with representatives of the City Administration for more than a year. So far, a lot has been done and you will have a complete support from me and my associates to ensure sustainability of the project. This project is particularly important for us because in this way we are becoming fast and efficient City Administration and that is exactly what we want to achieve. OPTIMUS representatives are professionals who work well on this matter. Nowadays, time is a very expensive resource and each procedure that is quick and efficient for businesses and citizens means a lot."- Mayor, Meho Mahmutović emphasized.

Along with the Mayor Mahmutović and the Secretary of the City Assembly Leković, the presentation of the e-registry was chaired by OPTIMUS representatives, Sladjana Karavdić Kočević, Katarina Milanović and Predrag Cvetković. Other representatives of the City Administration, businesses and non-governmental organizations attended the event.

"These new changes will particularly affect the business sector, because the business people will save over 2.5 million Euros on annual basis for different procedures in the City Administration, and thanks to the shortened and simplified procedures"- said Katarina Milanović, Deputy Director of OPTIMUS.

Registry is public and legally secure database, and it is the obligation of the City Administration to regularly update it, in accordance with the changes in legislation.

The registry is set up on the website of the City of Novi Pazar, www.novipazar.rs
