As part of the implementation of the regular activities on the project, on Tuesday 24th December meeting was held in the City administration in Loznica. Further activities include the harmonization of recommendations prepared by OPTIMUS - Centre for Good Governance in consultation with the Heads of departments. On this occasion, the comments and suggestions were taken into account from officials, who carry out certain administrative procedures, the business sector and Heads of departments. Recommendations relating to the 174 listed administrative proceedings.
At the beginning of the meeting, attendees were addressed by the Mayor of Loznica Mr. Vidoje Petrovic who pointed to the seriousness of this business. Also, he noted that all the Heads of Administration should be actively involved and that any other behavior is unacceptable, given the importance of this project for improving the business environment in Loznica. The Mayor expressed his gratitude to Mrs. Gordana Lazic Rasovic, expert for Regulatory Reform for her professional work.
The Deputy Mayor, Mr. Jezdimir Vucetic stressed the need to change things for the better , that status quo cannot be expected to remain, and that the officers are expected to demonstrate the motivation and promptness to carry out activities in the best possible manner , bearing in mind the interests of entrepreneurs and potential investors.
One of the important matters that the Mayor took upon himself is to organize activities that aim to deal with relevant stakeholders (urban public companies and institutions on the national level) who will be co-signers of the Protocol on cooperation, which will create the basis to obtain documents ex officio in the process of building permit issuing. It is one of the very important tools for improving the implementation of administrative procedures, reducing costs, shortening deadlines, on what the business sector insists.
The final recommendations should be adopted in mid-January, when the meeting of the Working Group will be organized.
