Begining of the Project Implementation in Gornji Milanovac

On 21 and 22 May 2013, the first training "Regulatory Reform and Preparation of Inventory of Administrative Procedures” was held for members of the Working Group and public employees in Gornji Milanovac. The training was held by Predrag Cvetkovic, consultant of OPTIMUS-Center for Good Governance, and attended by Milisav Markovic, the Mayor, Gorica Petrovic, Head of Municipal Administration, Zoran Drinjakovic, Coordinator of the Working Group and Working Group representatives. Predrag Cvetkovic presented an action plan to be implemented over the next 18 months.
In his opening remarks, the Mayor Milisav Markovic highlighted the importance of the Project for businesses and citizens of Gornji Milanovac, by facilitating and speeding up the process of obtaining various permits, decisions and approvals issued by the Municipal Administration. Moreover, thanks to the project, the Municipal Administration will become more efficient and will provide better services in future.
At the beginning of the training, the objectives, main activities and expected results, as well as the main stages and the methodology to be used in regulatory reform, were presented to the trainees. Afterwards, the steps and tasks of the Working Group and officials in the first phase of the Project were explained in detail. The participants showed the greatest interest for the presentation of good practice example in the City of Nis, and particularly the sustainable results of the project, three years after its completion.
