Entrepreneurs and businessmen of Novi Pazar propose shortening the deadlines for resolving cases, reduction of taxes and more clarity about the required documentation. These are the first results of the meetings organized in the form of focus groups that analyzed administrative barriers to doing business in Novi Pazar. These suggestions will be taken into account when preparing recommendations for the improvement of administrative procedures in Novi Pazar.
At the meetings of five focus groups that OPTIMUS organized in cooperation with the City, from 19th to 21st of February, about forty businessmen and entrepreneurs of Novi Pazar had the opportunity to present the problems they face in solving certain requirements under the jurisdiction of the local government.
Procedures analyzed were related to public works and construction, occupancy of public land, economy and property relations, the local tax administration, public companies and other topics that are of importance to entrepreneurs and businesses.
Representatives of business sector stated that the greatest obstacles are in too generous deadlines that local authorities have in administrative proceedings, too much required documentation not clearly specified before the process begins.
