In the last two years, 197 administrative procedures were simplified, while 5 were eliminated as legally unfounded. More than 650 different recommendations for improving administrative procedures were adopted. The recommendations have been incorporated into the local legal acts: the deadlines have been shortened in 90% of the administrative procedures, the documents have been eliminated in 74% cases, and taxes and fees have been reduced in 54% of procedures. On the website of the City of Leskovac, an electronic Registry of simplified administrative procedure has been set up (http://www.eregistar.gradleskovac.org/) to allow easier submission to the parties.

"The most important benefit of the regulatory reform is the fact that, through introducing of e-Registry of administrative procedures and its publication, we improved the organization of claiming different documents and eliminated arbitrariness of public employees in the conduct of administrative procedures. This is one of the best projects we have worked within since we have become available to citizens and we improved our service", said Goran Cvetanović, Mayor of Leskovac.

"One of the results of the regulatory reform is savings for businesses realized through simplification of administrative procedures. The estimated direct and indirect cost savings for the private sector in Leskovac on an annual basis reach 2.9 million euros", said Katarina Milanović, Deputy Director of OPTIMUS.

Sladjana Karavdić Kočević, Director of OPTIMUS, handed over an Acknowledgement to the Mayor Cvetanović for a successful cooperation and results achieved during the project.
