On the occasion of the completion of the project "Improving business environment at the local level through regulatory reform" a meeting with the leadership of the municipality of Gornji Milanovac and the Working Group of the project was held. On that occasion, OPTIMUS presented the most significant results of the project.

Through the application of simplified administrative procedures, the estimated direct and indirect cost savings for the business sector annually reach EUR 4,52 million. Savings are realized on the basis of recommendations, which were adopted and incorporated into the local legal acts: the deadlines have been shortened in 95% of the administrative procedures, the documents were eliminated in 65%, and taxes and fees in 60% of procedures.

Director of OPTIMUS, Sladjana Karavdić Kočević, following the successful completion of the project, handed over an Acknowledgement to the Mayor, Mr. Milisav Mirkovic, emphasizing that the cooperation was on high level, which is proven by the accomplished results.

Mr. Mirkovic stressed the following: "For a long time we have not implemented joint project that successfully. We never had a problem, and the improvement of the work is already noticed in some areas. We are not in a mood to finish cooperation with OPTIMUS with the project completion. We expect your call to collaborate on future projects. "

"The implementation of regulatory reform, through the simplification of administrative procedures also continues after the project, so to facilitate operation of the economy and work of municipal bodies, and to provide the possibility for new investments and reduction of business risk", said Ms. Gorica Petrović, Head of Municipal Administration.

Reforming and improving the work of the Municipal Administration presents the overall result of the regulatory reform - the local administration has increased the transparency and efficiency of their work, and an electronic Registry of simplified administrative procedures is posted on the website of Gornji Milanovac (http://ergm.gornjimilanovac.rs/) to allow easier request submission to customers.
