On 26th of May 2015 a final meeting of the Working Group of the project "Improving business environment at the local level through regulatory reform" was held In Novi Pazar.

One of the regulatory reform results are savings realized for the private sector, through the simplification of administrative procedures and adoption of local legal acts. Estimated direct and indirect cost savings for businesses in Novi Pazar reach EUR 2.53 million annually. Deadlines are reduced in 87% of administrative procedures, documents eliminated in 72%, and taxes and fees reduced in 35% of procedures.

In addition, by setting up an electronic Registry of administrative procedures on the website of the City of Novi Pazar (http://ernp.novipazar.org.rs/), transparency, quality and efficiency of the city administration work have been significantly improved.

Members of the Working Group pointed out that the realization of the project enabled the business sector, particularly construction companies, relief in administrative issues, which will contribute to the initiation or doing business.

Mr. Almir Lekovic, City Assembly Secretary expressed his gratitude to OPTIMUS for the marvelous cooperation and successfully implemented project and emphasized the openness for future cooperation. "This project has established a mechanism and a system that all following structures can use to improve the system of governance and business environment in general", said Mr. Lekovic.

Ms. Sladjana Karavdić Kočević, Director of OPTIMUS handed over an Acknowledgement to Mr. Ahmedin Binjoš, Head of the City Administration, in gratitude to the City of Novi Pazar for successful cooperation and results achieved in the project.
