E-registry is just one of the tools which will ensure the continuity of this reform. This was this speech Vidoje Petrovic, the Mayor of Loznica held on the presentation of e-registry that gathered over 50 representatives of the City authorities, public utilities and businessmen on 20 September 24, 2014. E-registry was developed within the project "Improving Environment for Businesses at Local Level through Regulatory Reform" implemented by the City of Loznica and OPTIMUS- Center for Good Governance, with financial support of Swiss State Secretariat of Economic Affairs SECO.

Gabriela Schafroth - Deputy Director of Swiss Cooperation Office Serbia, pointed out the dedication and enthusiasm with which local government is fighting big problems that were brought by the floods and landslides, and highlighted the significance of transparency for the favorable business environment: “Transparent regulatory environment is important for the attraction of investments and legal security of business sector and citizens. E-registry promoted today represents valuable source of information for all interested parties. Moreover, the e-registry supplies complete information to the investors on what documents they need to submit with the requests. For legal security and quality work of registry regular update in coordinance with current regulations is of great importance.”

Sladjana Karavdic-Kocevic, OPTIMUS- Center for Good Governance Director, emphasized her satisfaction with the good cooperation with the representatives of Loznica that led to the achievement of good results: reformed administrative procedures 98%, documentation cuts 61%, taxes and fees 53 %, deadline cuts 98%.

Katarina Milanovic, OPTIMUS Deputy Director presented e-registry on the City of Loznica official website http://www.loznica.rs/. Ms. Milanovic demonstrated the possibilities of registry search through criteria such as organizational units, the name of the administrative procedure and key words, and analyzed the display of the information for any specific procedure.

E-registry will enable businesses and citizens to more easily access the information on procedures for obtaining permits, approvals or resolutions. Moreover, businesses and citizens will have the possibility to download or fill online the requests forms for all the administrative procedures. Since the e-register is legally and publicly secure database, the city of Loznica made a commitment to update the register regularly so as to ensure users legal security.
