The City of Leskovac reduced costs and waiting time for businesses and citizens through regulatory reform

The electronic Registry was promoted on Friday, 14th March in Leskovac, thus entering the Project in its final phase. Mayor of Leskovac, Goran Cvetanović said on this occasion: "This new online service of Leskovac aims to enable faster and easier access to the information to citizens and entrepreneurs. It will also improve conditions, thus efficiency and quality of the work when it comes to issuing permits. Through regulatory reform, standardizing of submission forms was carried out and electronic filing of the same was enabled. The e-Registry is public and secure database and one our major objectives was to accomplish that."
Deputy Director of OPTIMUS, Katarina Milanovic emphasized: "The process of regulatory reform has entered the final phase of the implementation and results of the reform are already visible. A great number of recommendations for the simplification of administrative procedures was prepared and carried out by the City government. The procedures were simplified in terms of shortening the deadlines for resolving cases, reduction of taxes and fees, standard forms and obtaining documentation ex officio. Efficient operation of the City Administration, while resolving the claims, will ensure a reduction of the total annual cost of 3.4 million euros, both direct and indirect costs in time - in case that all the changes are applied in work of City officials and if couple of missing City decisions are adopted."
E-Registry of administrative procedures is set up on the website of the City of Leskovac, and is now available to the citizens and entrepreneurs, as well as to potential investors.
