The third phase of the project started in the Municipality of Gornji Milanovac

Beginning of the third phase was marked by meeting of the Working Group that was held on Monday, 23rd December in Gornji Milanovac. A Working group meeting was attended by all Heads of Administrative departments and the municipal president, Mr. Milisav Mirkovic, who thanked the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities and coordinators of OPTIMUS, at the beginning of the meeting, for recognizing Gornji Milanovac as a partner. He also pointed out that there are always ways to do things better, and that effort will be made to improve by the end of realization of the project.
At the meeting, Predrag Cvetkovic, OPTIMUS consultant, talked about the implementation of previous phases of the project. Adoption of the Plan of Communication Campaign was also on the agenda and the Plan was unanimously adopted by the decision of the Heads of Administration.
Training on the analysis and recommendations for the simplification of administrative procedures for the municipal officials was held on Tuesday, 24th December. Special attention was given to the benefit for the business, that refers to spending time and money in order to carry out a specific administrative procedure, which is the most important criteria for regulatory reform.
Participants had the opportunity to practically apply the knowledge acquired during the previous theoretical part of the training, and then they had a chance to put forward their proposals for shortening the deadlines, resolving cases, elimination of unnecessary documentation etc.
