The fourth meeting of the Working group was held on Tuesday, 26th November, where recommendations for the simplification of administrative procedures were discussed and adopted. The meeting was attended by 28 representatives of local government - Heads of Departments and employees.
The decision to adopt the recommendations was unanimous, with the previous general discussion of deadlines, documentation, taxes and fees. For each procedure time limit in which the procedure will be solved was specified, redundant documentation was eliminated, the documentation that will be obtained ex officio was indicated, and certain taxes were proposed to abolish.
All heads of City departments, employees and OPTIMUS regulatory reform experts were actively involved in preparing the recommendations.
The largest simplification relates to the complex procedures in the field of construction. "This simplification will make it even easier for businesses and citizens to exercise their rights regarding the construction, location and use permits. We believe that, in this way, the investment climate in Leskovac will significantly improve, and it will contribute to greater economic prosperity." - said Predrag Cvetkovic, an regulatory reform expert for Radio station Leskovac.
Electronic registry of administrative procedures, which should be established at the beginning of the next year, will contribute significantly to the City Administration of Leskovac to be more transparent and more efficient. The City government will achieve that by having a unique detailed submission forms and shortened deadlines for resolving cases.
