Consultation with businessmen in Leskovac

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 30 and 31 July consultations with business sector from Leskovac were held, meaning that the second phase of the project began. The goal of organized focus groups is to hear problems encountered by businessmen in the operations performed by the city government. This is an important indicator of what should be done in order to simplify and improve administrative procedures. Observations and comments from the business sector will be taken into account by the project Working group in finalizing recommendations for the simplification of administrative procedures.
Most problems occur in the field of civil engineering and urban planning as showed during the focus groups, in regard to obtaining licenses, certificates and location permits.
Complicated administrative procedures represent a burden for business entities because of spent time and money.
"The meeting was attended by the business sector representatives, which submitted requests for specific business activities under the jurisdiction of Leskovac Administration last year. We want to hear their impressions regarding work of the city government and their opinion regarding additional improvement of its efficiency and quality."- said Mr. Predrag Cvetkovic, regulatory reform expert in OPTIMUS.
