In his introductory speech, the Mayor of Kraljevo, Mr. Dragan Jovanovic stressed great importance of continuous training and capacity building of employees, as a precondition for efficient, modernized and high quality work of the City Administration. He also emphasized the importance of the project in attracting investments and investors that will be satisfied with the speed and efficiency of the City government onwards.

During the training, participants learned about the process of the analysis of administrative procedures inventoried in the first phase of the project. During the first phase, recommendations proposed by City employees, and by businessmen during the focus groups as well as a series of recommendations that will be prepared by OPTIMUS will be considered by the Working Group in the following steps. Special attention will be paid to shortening of deadlines to resolve the case, elimination of unnecessary documents or obtaining documents ex officio.

Participants exercised the practical examples to prepare recommendations, in order to be able to consider all the elements of the analysis while improving the administrative processes. In particular, the proposal to acquire the majority of the documents ex officio, which would significantly relieve the clients, has been taken into consideration.

At the press conference that followed the training of the Working Group, Mayor Mr. Jovanovic expressed his gratitude to the donor of the project, the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), for making the decision to waive the financial contribution of the City in the project, as originally planned.
