9.7.2013. 00h

On the 5th and 8th of July a two-day training on the topic of "Regulatory Reform and Preparation of Inventory of Administrative Procedures" was held at the City Administration of Loznica.

In the presence of a large number of local media, the trainees were greeted by Mrs. Milojka Smiljanic, Head of the City Administration, who highlighted the importance of the project and its expected impact on the improvement of the business environment of the City of Loznica.- We are already prepared for this since we already had to increase the effectiveness of local government in order to get the Certification of the city with business friendly environment. This training presents a continuation of that work and it will contribute to the improvement of our administration, as a service to citizens and economy, by reducing costs and speeding up of procedures. - Ms. Smiljanic emphasized.

On the first day, the training was held by Mrs. Katarina Milanovic, the representative of OPTIMUS- Center for Good Governance.
-Using an e-Registry of administrative procedures significantly reduces the load of civil servants and speed up their work. Also, customers will not have a need to go from counter to counter, since comprehensive information will be available on the e-Registry. This is the way of establishing a fully effective system. Loznica has already established it to a large extent because the City had a vision in which direction to go. Yet, there is always room for progress and improvement. - said Mrs. Milanovic.
Participants carefully followed the lecture of Mrs. Katarina Milanovic after which one of the officials said that it would be good if such activities were implemented, not only locally, but also nationally.

The training was attended by 35 officials who indicate a high motivation of the public officials to implement the project. Mrs. Marina Jankovic presented the experience of the City of Nis where a similar project was implemented.

On the second day of training, the lecturer was Mrs. Gordana Lazic Rasovic, OPTIMUS consultant for regulatory reform, who instructed the officials how to prepare an inventory of administrative procedures.
