Regulatory reform in Sombor

On Thursday 20 and Friday 21 of June training was held for the members of the Working Group and public employees in Sombor, as the beginning of the first phase of the project, which includes listing of all administrative procedures. The training was attended by 27 employees who will actively participate in the regulatory reform project. On the first day of training, participants were addressed by Mr Vladislav Kronic, the Head of the Department for Economy. Mr Kronic expressed confidence that the implementation of this project will contribute to better and more efficient work of city services in the interest of economy and citizens of the City of Sombor.

Ms. Sladjana Karavdic Kocevic, representative of Optimus - Center for Good Governance, informed the participants about the history, process and methodology of regulatory reform, and the project itself. Marina Jankovic, Head of the Regulatory Authority in Nis in the period up to 2012, continued presenting the experience of the project implemented in Nis. On the second day of training, Gordana Lazic Rasovic, OPTIMUS consultant, held an interactive training on the preparation of the inventory.

Ms. Irina Burka Parcetic, Head of the City Administration, addressed the audience on the second day, expressing obvious satisfaction for the participation of the City of Sombor in the project, because it will, through the process of regulatory reform, simplify enforcement of regulations and make local administration more efficient. The special value for the City will be an electronic Registry of decisions that will only work in Sombor. Also, Ms. Parcetic said that regulatory reform in this area is the basis for the implementation of other reforms.

It should be mentioned that the Local Economic Development Office of the City of Sombor is actively participating in the project implementation as professional, administrative and technical support. Mr. Mihael Plac, Head of the LED is Coordinator of the Working Group, with Ms. Jovana Grujic and Mr. Srdjan Savic as associates.
